Shadow Teacher (Japanese & English Support)

We are looking for a responsible and patient Shadow Teacher to provide one-on-one support to a student during school activities. The role involves assisting the student in understanding lessons and instructions, facilitating communication between the student and teachers, and providing Japanese and English language support when needed.

The Shadow Teacher will work closely with the student and coordinate with the school to ensure effective communication and a positive learning experience.

• Provide one-on-one assistance to one student throughout school activities.

• Support the student in understanding lesson materials, instructions, and classroom activities.

• Facilitate communication between the student and teachers when necessary.

• Explain or clarify teachers' instructions and learning materials to the student.

• Provide two-way translation/interpretation between Japanese and English when required.

• Communicate and coordinate with school staff regarding the student's learning needs.

• Provide patient, attentive, and responsible support to help the student participate effectively in school activities.

• Able to communicate effectively in Japanese and English.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to explain instructions and learning materials clearly to students.

• Patient, attentive, responsible, and comfortable working with children.

• Able to provide one-on-one assistance and support in a school environment.

• Experience as a teacher, teaching assistant, tutor, or shadow teacher is an advantage.

• Willing to work Monday to Friday.

• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.
