About Andalas University
Andalas University (commonly abbreviated as UNAND) is an Indonesian state university located in Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia. It is the oldest university outside Java, officially opened on December 23, 1955, by Vice President Mohammad Hatta. At that time, UNAND was the fourth university inaugurated by the Indonesian government. Andalas University comprises fifteen faculties, with its main campus in Limau Manis, Padang. There are also other campuses in Padang, Payakumbuh, and Dharmasraya.
