Japanese Companies in Indonesia That Are Hiring Right Now
Team KakehashiX

Thousands of Japanese companies operate in Indonesia — from automotive plants in Cikarang to property offices in Jakarta. Almost all of them face the same constraint: they need someone who can bridge Japanese management and the Indonesian team.
That is where your Japanese becomes valuable. Not as a translator of documents, but as the person who keeps the company running.
This page lists the Japanese companies currently hiring on KakehashiX as of August 2026 — 24 companies with 33 open positions. Grouped by industry, and updated every month.

Manufacturing and industry
The largest group, and the one that absorbs the most Japanese speakers. Industrial estates such as MM2100, Cikarang, Karawang, and Tangerang are full of Japanese plants whose technical management is still held by Japanese staff — which makes shop-floor communication entirely dependent on in-house interpreters.

• Leasing Sales Senior Assistant Manager — N2 · Rp15–20 million
Part of the Toyota Group, working in housing and construction. DKI Jakarta.

Technology and customer service
The group job seekers with a language background know least about. You do not always need a technical background — some companies specifically look for people who speak Japanese and then train them on the technical side, because that combination is far rarer than an ordinary programmer.

Why Japanese companies look for Japanese speakers in Indonesia
Not because they need document translators. The real reason runs deeper.
Top management is still Japanese. Directors and senior managers are often sent from head office, and not all of them are fluent in Indonesian or English. Without a bridge, instructions do not land and shop-floor problems go unreported.
Reporting to head office is done in Japanese. Financial reports, quality reports, and project updates are sent to Japan in Japanese. That is why even finance and administrative roles require the language.
Selling between Japanese companies. Japanese companies in Indonesia sell largely to other Japanese companies. Trust is built the Japanese way, and that is hard for a candidate without the language to replicate.
The consequence: Japanese ability is not an add-on, it is an operational requirement. That is what makes these roles relatively stable and the pay competitive.
